Omega 3-6-9 is a superior daily nutritional supplement for an ideal balance of essential fatty acids (EFAs). The "Omega" essential fatty acids are parts of fat molecules used by the body to perform many important health functions. Omega fatty acids are important for cell membrane structure, cardiovascular system, immune health and for producing energy. There are many different kinds of fatty acids but only two are essential and must be supplied by the diet. Omega–6, linoleic acid, which is associated with corn, safflower seeds and sunflower seeds, and omega-3, linolenic acid, associated with polyunsaturated oils of flaxseed and pumpkin seeds. Another important fatty acid is omega-9, easily found in extra virgin olive oil.
