The body naturally manufactures Glucosamine Sulfate, but with age and other factors, Glucosamine production declines. Supplemental Glucosamine helps to stimulate the manufacture of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), key components of cartilage cell growth. GAGs maintain the structure of cartilage, giving it shock-absorbing qualities.
Chondroitin sulfate is found naturally in the cartilage that cushions bones, allowing them to move smoothly. When the natural balance of cartilage’s components is upset, cartilage dehydrates, becoming thin and deteriorated. Chondroitin sulfate works to keep your cartilage healthy by attracting water into the cartilage, providing it with nutrients and lubrication. It also prevents deterioration by inhibiting excessive cartilage destroying enzymes.
